Madison Bumgarner, 26
Pitcher, San Francisco Giants

Bumgarner was called up from the Minor League mid-way through the 2010 season and became the youngest left-handed pitcher to throw eight scoreless innings in a World Series, helping the Giants claim their first title since 1954. Four years later, Bumgarner won his third World Series as a Giant, was named the MVP of 2014, won the 2014 Babe Ruth Award, the 2014 Sports Illustrated “Sportsman of the Year” award, and the 2014 Associated Press Male Athlete of the Year award.

Pitcher, New York Mets

DeGrom is a two-time National League Rookie of the Month and was named the National League Rookie of the Year in 2014 by the Baseball Writers Association of America. He was selected as an MLB All-Star a year later. In that same year, deGrom led the Mets to the 2015 World Series.

This University of Chicago graduate raised $4.5 million in funding to successfully launch Sportsmanias, a website and app that curates customized real-time news, tweets, rumors, scores, and standings to users. Fernandez created this as a solution to filter over-crowded website and Twitter timelines, and strives to work hand-in-hand with local beat writers.

Brian Heimerdinger, 29
Director of Scouting, New York Jets

Heimerdinger was named Director of Player Personnel at the age of 28, one of the youngest to ever hold the position. He also helped found the Heimerdinger Foundation, a non profit organization in the Nashville area that helps serve healthy and organic meals to those that are undergoing cancer treatments.

Noel Hollingsworth, 25
Director of Data, Second Spectrum

Hollingsworth won the 2014 Best Research Award at the MIT Sloan Sports Analytics Conference. Almost all NBA championship contenders use his work to gain an edge. ESPN and FOX use his work to change storytelling, as all sports intersect with big data, and Hollingsworth’s work on teaching machines sports has the potential to transform the entire industry.

She sits on the USOC Audit Committee and is an ex officio director of the US Olympians and Paralympians Association.

Seguin was selected second overall in the 2010 NHL Draft by the Boston Bruins and went to the Stanley Cups finals twice, winning it once in his rookie year while tying the record for most goals in a final series. Shiraishi is recognized as one of the world’s most talented young climbers of all time. At age 13, she became the first woman and youngest climber to send a sport route with a difficulty grade of 9a+ (5.15a), and became only the second female climber to successfully send a V14 bouldering problem.

Jordan Spieth, 22
Professional Golfer, Spieth Enterprises

Spieth is the defending FedEx Cup champion, a two-time major winner, and is the #1 golfer in the Official World Golf Ranking. He also is the youngest golfer to win the U.S. Open, which he won in 2015. Spieth created the Jordan Spieth Family Foundation to provide outreach to special needs youth golfers.
